Kivi tie-down, called Uniloc, is designed to securely restrain manual or power wheelchair to the vehicle floors, both for the driver and for the passengers.
It can be used also to fix the original seat, when the wheelchair is not used
The anchorage of the wheelchair is automatic, while the unhooking is controlled by pushing an electrical switch placed in a convenient position.
The device is provided with three safety systems: two of them are active ( the device doesn’t work when the ignition is on and, if the wheelchair or the original seat doesn’t depart 8 seconds after pressing the switch, they will be automatically anchored again).
The third safety system is passiv (a sound signal becomes active when the wheelchair or the original seat is not secured. Morover, in this case, the control button on the dashboard becomes red).
It is tested following ISO 10542-1.
